Originally formed in Athens and now based in London, Burnt Tapes are purveyors of what they call “regret punk”, an emotional and melodic brand of punk rock that dives deep into nostalgia, self-doubt, and late-night longing. Channeling bands like Hot Water Music, Iron Chic, and The Menzingers, their anthemic choruses and gritty dual vocals have won over fans from both the emo and punk camps.

Since their debut album Never Better (2019), the band has grown their reach with relentless touring across the UK and mainland Europe, appearances at The Fest (US) and Manchester Punk Fest (UK), and critical acclaim from the punk press. Their latest album New Lungs saw them refine their sound while maintaining the lyrical honesty and rawness that define them. With themes ranging from broken friendships to late-night regrets, Burnt Tapes prove that punk still has plenty of soul.
