Bio

Founded in Istanbul in the early 2020s, Pembe (“Pink” in Turkish) confront inner trauma and collective grief through searing screamo, post-hardcore, and sludge-influenced intensity. Their debut LP Hepimizin Evi (Everyone’s Home, 2022) is a bold statement featuring Turkish lyrics and dramatic contrasts between melodic passages and turbulent bursts.

Influenced by acts across screamo, crust, and post-rock, Pembe channel emotional catharsis into each track, lyrics dealing with abandonment, loneliness, and existential tension. Their music’s bipolar shifts between melody and extremity mirror the emotional turbulence their audience lives through. The record quickly found support from local underground zines and international listeners craving unfiltered authenticity.

Though touring opportunities in Turkey’s heavy DIY scene are limited, Pembe have garnered a passionate fanbase online and through cassette and vinyl followers across Europe. Their aesthetic, combining personal confession and sonic aggression, positions them as a uniquely Turkish voice in global underground punk.
