Bio

Sport first emerged in 2011 from France’s underground scene, drawing inspiration from bands like Algernon Cadwallader, RVIVR, and Spraynard with their tight, emotionally introspective paces. After a hiatus following their 2016 LP Slow, they returned in 2025 with In Waves, picking up right where they left off, only angrier, sharper, and more melodic.

Their third LP flat-out channels friendship politics, poetic heartbreak, and the frustration of adulthood. The band has published an exhaustive bandcamp-based anthology, The Disco After the Breakdown (2010–2019), tracing their evolution from demo-era fuzz to post-emo refinement. Their comeback signaled to the emo underground that they’re still masters of the blink‑and‑you’ll‑miss‑it emotional outburst.
